ITV News published this video item, entitled “Covid-19: Wales to enter ‘firebreak’ national lockdown from Friday | ITV News” – below is their description.
Wales is to go further than any of the four nations, and impose a 17 day lockdown across the country starting from 6pm on Friday. Wales First Minister Mark Drakeford said the “short, sharp, shock” would buy the country some time. If not there could be the possibility of an “open-ended” lockdown. The measures will force most people to stay at home unless their work is essential. Indoor and outdoor gatherings will be banned, and pubs, restaurants and hotels will close. But Primary Schools will reopen after half term.
