COVID-19: US cases surge in all states as vaccination rates hit lowest in months

Global News published this video item, entitled “COVID-19: US cases surge in all states as vaccination rates hit lowest in months” – below is their description.

New cases of COVID-19 in the United States reportedly rose in all 50 states over the past week and doctors are blaming the surge on the highly-transmissible Delta variant.

But an even bigger a crisis is looming for the country, as vaccination rates slow down drastically amid the dangerous rise in infections. Thirty states have yet to vaccinate at least half their residents, despite reports that 99 per cent of all COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths are among the unvaccinated.

As Jennifer Johnson reports, doctors are pleading for more Americans to get the shot.
