CGTN the Chinese state funded broadcaster, reports on an innovation from Turkey whereby 3D printed medical gear can be manufactured and distributed quickly, to assist with the Covid-19 outbreak.
Like many other countries, Turkey is battling the coronavirus with a limited supply of medical equipment.
As factories are striving to manufacture as many face masks as possible, some have turned to innovative technology for further assistance.
In Turkey, the 3D printing sector has joined forces to support medical workers and provide them with much needed protection gear.
All of the gear is printed as aid – not to be sold.
The face shields are distributed by Turkey’s Motorcycle Delivery Platform to hospitals in need of extra protection gear for free.
