The number of people involved in the universal community testing and the results are encouraging, said Sophia Chan Siu-chee, Secretary for Food and Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said in an interview with China Daily on Wednesday. And the large-scale program cannot run in such a short period of time if without the support from the central government, she added. So far, over 1.42 million people have been tested and 18 COVID-19 cases have been detected and confirmed.
