    The Prime Minister Boris Johnson wanted today to be known as ‘freedom day’.

    Nearly all Covid restrictions in England have been lifted, but it turns out that people will need a passport to enjoy some of their new liberties.

    Mr Johnson said at his briefing that proof of full vaccination will be a condition of entry for nightclubs and other crowded venues from September and he emphasised that the pandemic was not over.
