COVID-19 | Peru sends troops to border to stop illegal migrants

The Government of Peru started to send its soldiers to the northern border with Ecuador on Saturday, in the midst of the country’s state of emergency due to the #COVID19 pandemic.

The aim of the deployment is to control the passage of vehicles and people across the border, after 22 clandestine crossings reportedly used by Ecuadorian & Venezuelan migrants were discovered.
