Russia Today reported on an Indian police officer who was apparently quite strongly applying the curfew, intended to keep people in their homes to avoid the spread of Covid-19 in the country.
Indians struggled to comply with the world’s largest #coronavirus #lockdown on Wednesday as the government began the huge task of keeping 1.3 billion people indoors.
A #police officer in the north Indian town of Batla went around rebuking people, telling them to wear protective gear and stay at home.
He scolded people who were defying a curfew and asked them to apologise and do squats as punishment.
He also ordered shopkeepers to avoid crowding in their shops in an effort to contain the virus outbreak.
