“Every hour that goes by without Assange being released on bail is a death threat,” warns Wikileaks editor-in-chief in an interview to RT.
It seems like all the odds are stacked against Julian Assange as he remains locked inside the Belmarsh prison while rumors fly around that the real number of COVID-19 deaths within its walls are much higher than government officials report.
The absurdity of this situation, Hrafnsson explains, is that a political prisoner, who is particularly vulnerable to coronavirus due to a pre-existing lung condition, remains locked behind bars in a “petri dish for COVID-19” while those who committed real crimes are being released.
To make matters worse, the WikiLeaks founder is unable to even speak with his lawyers to discuss the extradition case because it is simply too dangerous to move around inside Belmarsh.
