Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown says G7 leaders should agree a collective approach to testing international travellers for the Omicron COVID-19 variant.

He also said ministers should ‘coordinate a month-by-month plan to get vaccines out to Africa and to get them testing equipment’.

Only 7% of the population in Africa has been vaccinated.
