COVID-19 cases rise, economies struggle in Latin America

Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “COVID-19 cases rise, economies struggle in Latin America” – below is their description.

Across Latin America and the Caribbean, 23 million people have been infected by the coronavirus and nearly 700,000 have died. As the numbers rise some countries have protested against lockdowns which have crippled their economies, while some in other nations are angry about the failure of their governments to contain COVID-19. Several countries, including Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Peru are already trying to ensure they get access to inoculations when the vaccines get approval. Al Jazeera’s Daniel Schweimler reports from Buenos Aires, Argentina. –
