Canadian health officials are expected to provide an update on the COVID-19 response on Friday.

The update comes as the uptake of fourth vaccine doses stalls at about 10 per cent nationally, leaving questions about what the government’s strategy on messaging will be going into the fall.

There has been advice given by doctors across the country for people to keep up with vaccinations ahead of the fall, when illnesses including influenza are expected to spread, in addition to increased risk factors for COVID-19 as more people move indoors.
