Some Canadians continue to wait long periods of time, sometimes for days, to get their COVID-19 test results.
But as case numbers rise, the federal government has inked a deal with Abbott Laboratories to provide nearly eight million rapid, point-of-care tests in hopes of helping clear the backlog.
As Mike Le Couteur explains the product has not yet been approved by Health Canada and there’s no timeline for when it will be available.
