    U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Saturday that starting Thursday, Nov. 5 until Dec. 2, pubs, restaurants and non-essential businesses will be required to close and people are asked to stay at home except for essential reasons. He said the furlough system that they have been using to help businesses impacted would be extended. Scientists have warned COVID-19 hospitalizations and deaths in the U.K. could surpass the levels seen during the outbreak’s spring peak.
