South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Coronavirus: South Korea’s third Covid-19 wave sees record high cases” – below is their description.
South Korea confirmed 1,030 new coronavirus infections on December 13, 2020. This was the second day in a row that the record high for new cases had been broken and came as the country battled its third wave of Covid-19. South Korea had been praised for its initial success in containing the virus, but the latest rise in infections has prompted President Moon Jae-in to call it an “emergency”. The greater Seoul area is currently at level 2.5 of a pandemic alert, the second-highest of the five-tier monitoring system.
