Quebec Premier François Legault is providing an update on the province’s ongoing response to COVID-19 on Tuesday. Quebec reported 871 new COVID-19 cases and 34 additional deaths on Tuesday, bringing the provincial case count to 108,889 cases and 6,317 deaths. This past Thursday, the government announced red zone areas would continue to be under stronger restrictions than the rest of the province until Nov.23. The partial lockdown was supposed to be lifted on Oct. 28, but the premier said Quebecers can’t “get too confident” in easing restrictions.
