The UK’s Sky News reported on HRH Prince Charles‘ official opening of NHS Nightingale, the temporary hospital built in London in order to cope with a sudden influx of Covid-19 patients in Britain’s capital city.
Prince Charles has opened the new NHS Nightingale at the ExCeL Centre in east London, saying it will serve as “a shining light” during the coronavirus lockdown
With 80 wards, the temporary facility at the ExCel Centre in London’s Docklands is now the largest critical care unit in the world.
Soldiers, carpenters, stewards and volunteers have worked around the clock to ensure NHS Nightingale could be ready for use in record time.

Prince Charles opening the NHS Nightingale hospital is particularly poignant, as he has just this week himself come out of isolation after recovering from a positive test for the novel coronavirus.
