Nova Scotia’s Premier Stephen McNeil and Dr. Robert Strang, the province’s chief medical officer of health, are expected to hold a press conference Tuesday to provide an update on the coronavirus pandemic situation in the province. Health officials reported 11 new coronavirus cases for the second day in a row on Monday, bringing the total number of active cases to 51. Nova Scotia is the province with the second-highest amount of active COVID-19 cases in Atlantic Canada. Monday morning, the provincial governments of Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador announced they are taking a break from the Atlantic bubble as COVID-19 cases rise in the region.
