Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has told Sophy Ridge that she doesn’t believe that care home deaths are happening at a higher rate in Scotland.
She also said there may be “under-reporting” in England.
Pressed whether it was a mistake to discharge patients from hospital into care homes, Ms Sturgeon said at that point “rightly or wrongly, there wasn’t the same understanding of how the virus is spread by asymptomatic people”.
