Coronavirus: NACI, Canadian officials hold technical briefing on vaccine guidance | LIVE

Global News published this video item, entitled “Coronavirus: NACI, Canadian officials hold technical briefing on vaccine guidance | LIVE” – below is their description.

Canada’s National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) and Government of Canada officials are expected to provide a technical briefing Tuesday on NACI’s updated guidance on COVID-19 vaccines.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Monday vouched for the safety of Oxford University’s AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine as reports of blood clots prompted several other countries to temporarily ban the vaccine’s use.

NACI initially recommended that people aged 65 and over be prioritized for the mRNA vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna, which had more evidence of how they work on seniors, rather than AstraZeneca’s vaccine.
