Global News published this video item, entitled “Coronavirus: Manitoba Premier says nearly 100 health violations committed amid lockdown | FULL” – below is their description.
Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister said law enforcement issued nearly 100 tickets for people and businesses violating public health orders as province continues to be under lockdown with COVID-19 cases on the rise. The premier called, once again, on Manitobans to follow public health orders and restrict gatherings and unnecessary in-person shopping. Last Thursday, Manitoba announced stricter measures to limit residential gatherings and retail operations and to ensure that only essential items are purchased in person. Those measures came into effect Friday. Pallister’s government has also introduced the Manitoba Bridge Grant of $5,000 of direct support to any Manitoba business, non-profit or charity that has been forced to close as a result of public health orders that came into effect on Nov. 12.
