The Manitoba government says provincial officers issued more than $180,000 worth of fines over the past week, including 22 tickets of $5,000 to various businesses, said Premier Brian Pallister on Tuesday.
From Nov. 23 through 29, the province handed out 202 warnings and 100 tickets.
This is a slight increase from the week prior, said the premier.
When asked about his low approval ratings and the high number of coronavirus infections in the province during the press conference, Pallister replied that he believes its because “people don’t like COVID” and that he would continue to “stay focused” on fighting the pandemic.
