The death toll from Covid-19 in the United States was nearing 120,000 on Monday, with 2.4 million of the country’s 330 million inhabitants diagnosed with the virus. Half of fifty states have witnessed a new spike in the virus, with some southern states including Texas and Florida seeing record case numbers. FRANCE 24 health editor Julia Sieger says scientists now agree the new coronavirus is acting unlike any coronavirus seen in the past.
