There is a growing list of politicians across Canada, at both the federal and provincial levels, who have left the country despite guidance to stay at home and avoid non-essential travel.
Last week, it was revealed former Ontario finance minister Rod Phillips had travelled without telling party leadership. He resigned from cabinet shortly after.
Since then, more politicians have been added to the list, including two Liberal federal MPs, one Conservative MP and an NDP MP. There have also been several MLAs in Alberta who have traveled out of the country. David Akin takes a look at who is on the list, some of their reasonings for travel and what the fallout is for each.
