Coronavirus: Government faces questions over transparency – BBC Newsnight

As independent scientists came together today to form an Alternative Scientific Advisory Group, the government finally published the names of those who sit and advise on their official committee, SAGE.

But a key concern of local decision makers and the scientific community is that the government is not releasing data, modelling and information to help in the battle against the pandemic.

Newsnight obtained a leaked letter from one regional health director in which he urged NHS England bosses to share more of the data that guides Covid modelling.
