Coronavirus fraud | Police raids fake face masks warehouses in Italy

Italian finance police have sequestered hundreds of masks and disinfectants that were sold online at increased prices. Various warehouses were raided in a number of Italian regions and as a result, 33 companies that were selling protective gear at increased prices were identified.

Those involved could face up to two years in jail and will have to hand back their illegal profits.

The e-commerce fraud consisted mostly of selling masks that were unfit to any basic bacterial protection as an anti-coronavirus shield.
