The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab has insisted the government is taking the right steps at the right time in its response to the coronavirus outbreak and that the country “can’t stay in lockdown forever”.
This is despite a warning from one of the the UK’s leading public health experts that the easing of the lockdown is happening too soon.
