Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, will deliver an update on the COVID-19 situation in the province on Friday.
It has been another week of record-breaking numbers in the province, with 1,854 new cases identified on Thursday.
Alberta Premier Jason Kenney announced the province’s plans for the COVID-19 earlier in the week. With a three phrase approach starting in early January.
It was one week ago that new restrictions to curb the spread of COVID-19. Dr. Hinshaw would not say whether the recent public health orders were working, saying the next few days could produce the “early impacts.”
