Foreign Affairs Select Committee Chairman Tom Tugendhat described the results from the local elections as a “pretty big blow” for the party.

The Conservative MP for Tonbridge and Malling in Kent told Sky’s Sophy Ridge the party needed to address that the “garden of England cannot become the patio of England” and communities across the country needed to able to “have a say” about issues.
