A British soldier named Jack Jarvis is on an exhausting journey to row across the Atlantic Ocean solo, all the way from the United Kingdom to the United States.

The 28-year-old has been documenting his journey on social media as he tries to set a new record by finishing the journey within 100 days, while also trying raise funds for brain tumour research.

Crystal Goomansingh looks at the goal, the timeline and how he’s honouring his grandfather at the same time.
