Concerns grow over easing restrictions, unvaccinated as Delta threatens 4th COVID-19 wave

Global News published this video item, entitled “Concerns grow over easing restrictions, unvaccinated as Delta threatens 4th COVID-19 wave” – below is their description.

Many parts of Canada are further easing pandemic measures in lieu of rising vaccinations.

But COVID-19’s highly transmissible Delta variant is still spreading in greater numbers and it’s already hitting provinces trying to get back to normal.

New Brunswick is already seeing resurgence in cases after dropping virtually all its restrictions, while active cases are also climbing in Saskatchewan and Alberta, who have a similar reopening approach.

Global’s Sarah Komadina looks at concerns that loosening protocols too fast will result in harder-hitting fourth wave, while Caryn Lieberman reports on concerns about how that could hit Canada’s many unvaccinated children.
