There’s growing speculation over whether the US might attempt a prisoner swap with Russia to get a two-time Olympic gold medallist Brittney Griner back on home soil. Ms Griner was arrested in February for allegedly bringing a small amount of hashish oil into Russia. Natasha Lindstaedt, Professor of Government at the University of Essex, tells The World the outcome of her trial is difficult to predict given Russia’s legal system.
