Members of Australia’s Sudanese community say they fear for the safety of loved ones as a military coup unfolds in their home country.
Kenyatta Dei Wal is a community leader from the Centre for Multicultural Youth’s South Sudanese Program and he says the military takeover is an “absolute betrayal of people’s trust”.

Sudan is a member of the United Nations, the Arab League, African Union, COMESA, Non-Aligned Movement and the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation.
