Since 2012, remarkable progress has been made in the protection of natural ecosystems in China. Ecological degradation has been curbed, the quality of ecosystems has been gradually improved, ecosystem functions have been enhanced, and policies and regulations on biodiversity have been constantly improved. Through the implementation of special actions such as strengthening supervision of Green Shield protected natural areas, China is focused on preserving the natural environment, protecting endangered species, and building a solid national ecological barrier to ensure that green waters always flow in green mountains.
