Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Colombia’s peace court grills government over FARC killings” – below is their description.
Colombia’s peace court has summoned senior ministers to a public hearing over the deaths of former FARC rebels. At least 243 former fighters have been killed since the government signed a peace accord in 2016. Hundreds more have been threatened, amidst a worsening of security in areas where residual criminal groups fight for control of drug trafficking routes and other illegal activities. The court had ordered the government to increase protective measures back in April but the killings have continued. Al Jazeera’s Alessandro Rampietti reports from Bogota, Colombia. –
