Locals in Greece say it it the hottest, driest weather conditions many have seen in their lifetime as authorities warning that temperatures may rise further over the next few years.

High temperatures and wind have made for a dangerous mix for firefighters and the Greek military, who are trying to stop fires spreading to residential areas.
