Congolese national police arrested protesters and used tear gas and rubber bullets on others assembled to decry a lack of security in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The level of insecurity has risen since the new year started in North Kivu’s capital, Goma, despite a state of siege, with at least four gun deaths reported this week alone.
