Former attorney-general Christian Porter has announced he’s quitting at the next election.

Mr Porter has been on the backbench since September, stepping aside after refusing to reveal the identities of donors who contributed to his legal fees in a defamation action against the A-B-C.

He’s served in Federal Parliament as the Member for the WA electorate of Pearce since 2013. Political reporter Matthew Doran looks back at his career in Canberra.
