Christian Porter resigns, Anthony Albanese says Porter is still in breach of his MP obligations

7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Christian Porter resigns, Anthony Albanese says Porter is still in breach of his MP obligations” – below is their description.

Former attorney-general Christian Porter has resigned from Scott Morrison’s ministry after accepting funds for a legal matter from a blind trust.

Porter revealed earlier this week that he’d accepted money from a blind trust to help cover legal fees for a defamation case against the ABC.

Labor Leader Anthony Albanese says Mr Porter is in breach of his obligations as an MP, and is calling on the government to establish a national anti-corruption commission.

“Members of Parliament, as well as Ministers, just can’t accept money from anonymous donors for a private legal matter…this fails the ‘laugh test.'”
