For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video A Chinese think tank has refuted Western allegations of forced labor in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The Xinjiang Development Research Center published a report after visiting more than 70 enterprises in Xinjiang and elsewhere in the country. It says that many people in the region are willing to leave their hometowns for work and appreciate the government’s help. The report says a large number of people have found jobs this way, and their income has been raised. It also says workers’ freedom of religious belief is protected, halal food is guaranteed and social security is fully covered.
