China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi called for joint efforts with Russia to promote regional development and safeguard the international system with the United Nations at the core. Wang Yi and and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov were in Cambodia for the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.

Cambodia, officially the Kingdom of Cambodia, is a country located in the southern portion of the Indochina peninsula in Southeast Asia. Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov is a Russian diplomat and politician who has served as the Foreign Minister of Russia since 2004. As a member of the United Russia party, he was previously the Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, serving in the role from 1994 to 2004.
