Saturday marks World Environment Day, with #Pakistan acting as global host for the day. The theme this year is “Ecosystem Restoration.” Chinese President Xi Jinping has congratulated Pakistan on holding the event. President Xi has consistently spoken of the relationship between man and nature and called for efforts to protect nature and the environment. He said, “Only together can we effectively address global environmental issues, and achieve the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”
