China has approved a budget of over 150 billion yuan or about $24 billion, aiming at sustaining the progress it has made in poverty eradication. The funds will be used in facilitating employment and livelihoods of those who have been lifted out of poverty and also be used to support those in resettlement areas and to improve rural living conditions and public welfare infrastructure.
