He made the remarks in a meeting with his Canadian counterpart Francois-Philippe Champagne in Rome. Wang said Canada’s detention of Huawei’s Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou for no reason has caused serious difficulties in expanding bilateral ties. His comments come after a Canadian court blocked Meng’s request for the release of more documents related to her arrest in 2018.

Its advanced economy is the tenth-largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade networks.
