China has drawn up a proposal for helping resolve the crisis in Libya and restore peace in the African country. Foreign Minister Wang Yi presented the proposal during a high-level virtual meeting on Libya, hosted by the UN Security Council. Wang called for a ceasefire and an immediate stop to hostile actions urging all parties to implement the UN Security Council resolutions. He called on the international community to focus on political solutions, saying all parties should return to dialogue and smoothly advance political, economic, and military negotiations. Wang also called for efforts to stop terrorist operations in Libya.
