China has just hosted the G20 summit, and President Xi Jinping has warned of the global economy sitting at a crucial crossroads. Things are no different at home, with fears over China’s economic slowdown. In some parts of the country the local GDP has plummeted, such as in the north-eastern city of Tieling, where it fell more than 6% in 2015. Our correspondents look at the reasons for such a brutal slowdown.
