    The Chinese mainland has reported one new locally transmitted case in its northeastern Liaoning Province. Another 11 imported cases were also registered on Wednesday. The nation has just rolled out its first homegrown single-dose coronavirus vaccine in a number of cities, including Beijing and Shanghai. Clinical trials suggest that CanSino Biologics’ one-dose jab, known as Convidecia, has a 95 percent efficacy rate in preventing severe cases.
