Two Chinese astronauts performed a spacewalk out of the Tianhe space station core module on July 4, 2021, as part of their three-month space mission. During their time outside the core module, astronauts Liu Boming and Tang Hongbo tested next-generation spacesuits and installed equipment to be used on future missions. They tried out the new Feitian spacesuit and a 15-metre (49ft) robotic arm, hailed by the Chinese space agency as the “most intelligent, complicated” orbital construction system.
