South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Chinese artist aims to draw tourist in his hometown in Yunnan by creating huge murals” – below is their description.

Mural artist Liu Zhicheng has returned to his hometown in China’s southwestern province of Yunnan where he hopes his works can help boost local tourism. As rapid development continues in China’s vast rural areas, many young people who in the past would head to major cities to find employment are now exploring opportunities closer to home. Among them is 27-year-old Liu, better known as Liu Xiaobei who made a name for himself in big cities like Chongqing. He decided to return to his home in Yunnan’s Yongsheng county in the summer of 2021 to donate his time and talent in hope of bringing change to the village, one stroke at a time.
