Animal activists fear tougher laws targeting China’s wild animal trade won’t go far enough to stamp it out.

Australia is among the group of countries calling for change, with officials labelling wet markets a biosecurity and human health risk.

But despite the new restrictions, some fear the practice will still go on underground.
