Chinese President Xi Jinping called Monday for greater world cooperation against Covid-19 during a speech at a virtual gathering hosted by the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Xi urged other world powers to disregard “ideological antagonism and politicizing or weaponizing economic, scientific and technological issues.”

The Chinese leader hailed his country’s efforts to share vaccines, fight climate change and promote development at home and abroad.
